A lot of effort for not much reward today. Got down the beach around 9.45 and met all the Camber Crew. We trudged over the dunes to find the tide on the push and a decent F3-4 blowing. So back to the carpark and rigged my new Tush Storm 5.75 for it's first outing in my hands. Ed was on his new SX and a 6.2. By the time we got back down to the water, the wind had backed off to a F2-3. I bogged out through the white water, and managed to get out, but then decided it probably wasn't a good idea to go too far out, so turned around. I was totally underpowered, so when I dropped the rig, I was unable to waterstart again. I ened up getting slowly washed ashore, and spent the next hour battling to get going again and get back out through the whitewater. Eventually gave up, but couldn't face the hike back over the dunes to change back up to a 7.0m and the big board. Instead I headed over to the central car park with Ed and helped him rig his new 9.0m Warp, which took hours! Still, it was a beautiful day to be down the beach, and I got my hair wet, which saved this from being a 1 star session!
